are elaborated with objects of everyday life: pipes,
keys, the human body,
metal barrels, bottles of water. Others are drawn from
an uncommon use of orchestra instruments : drums struck
with pipes or excessively long sticks, boxes played with hands, etc..
To
complete the percussion palette, certain pieces everyday objects to
contemporary instruments: «océanophone», vrombe and
instrument imitating the sound of wind, used together with
marimba,
snare drum,
gongs, bongos, congas or bells. Whatever the choice
of instruments, movement and visual aspects remain intimately
connected to the music in the creation of the repertoire.
An important place is also given to improvisation.
Furthermore, the particular flavour of QUAD's music resides in

latin or afro-cuban.

of its musical influences, the originality of its music compositions,

results in a " percussive choreography " whose visual
impact is striking. QUAD's music (displays
